- About Us
The Empowerment and Action Research Center is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation engaged in research and advocacy on health and social justice issues in Africa. The Center conducts research on the social, political and economic forces that dis-empower people and impact on their welfare. In tune with our philosophy and buttressed by our experience, we believe that genuine commitment to empowerment of people implies a commitment to education and training and orientation programs. We organize seminars, workshops and training programs disseminating the results of our research widely to stakeholders and policy makers. EMPARC was founded in December 1992 and registered as a company limited by guarantee in Nigeria.
